Let's break up the work week.
Share one of your favorite quotes with us. It could be from a movie, poem, song or even something you wrote.
I'll start with one I wrote earlier on my Twitter page:
"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself." ~Harvey Fierstein

I'm not sure if my friend thought this up all on her own, but Monday she put this on Facebook and it really spoke volumes to me:
"The first step to getting what you want is admitting that you want it!"
The reason this was so thought provoking for me is not because I am spoiled or have a desire to be spoiled (and therefore want to have what I want when I want it ... which is usually NOW!), it spoke so much to me because I have been in a relationship with a man who does not want to have children for the past 3 years. And for the longest time, I tried to convince myself and pretend I was OK with that. But it's time for me to be honest with myself and with him. I do want a child some day. Until I am honest about that though, it won't happen.

Do or do not... There is no try.
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”

“When I hear somebody sigh, "Life is hard," I am always tempted to ask,
"Compared to what?"
- Sydney J. Harris
“For most of life, nothing wonderful happens. If you don't enjoy getting up and working and finishing your work and sitting down to a meal with family or friends, then the chances are you're not going to be very happy. If someone bases his [or her] happiness on major events like a great job, huge amounts of money, a flawlessly happy marriage or a trip to Paris, that person isn't going to be happy much of the time. If, on the other hand, happiness depends on a good breakfast, flowers in the yard, a drink or a nap, then we are more likely to live with quite a bit of happiness.”
